what's up with the rare gems quest? i checked out the spiral caverns and only found normal types of gems, not the flawless kinds you need. i saw on another forum that there are king/queen mobs that you can either trigger or they just appear randomly. which is the case and if you have to trigger them what kind of commands do you need to put in?

There are several different types of mobs in the spiral caverns. Each one has a different way of triggering its "queen/king" mob. For some of them you just have to keep reaching in holes until one randomly pops out. For crystal spirits you have to collect all the crystals and place them on some pedestal or something. The queen/king mobs drop the flawless gems you need for the quest. I haven't figured them all out quite yet so more details will be forthcoming.

I've managed to get all the Gems appart from the Sapphire. Can anyone give me any tips on how to get the Queen spider to spawn?

It is just a random pop for that area. You don't have to do anything to get it to spawn, just kill the mobs as they drop down from the ceiling.
